As my time in Washington draws to a close, I found a pleasant reminder of why I call the Capitol home: the front page of the Washington Post. Articles in today's A section include a top-fold photo of President Obama and daughter Sasha coming off the helicopter after a week on Martha's Vineyard, and an article about the first winery in Fairfax county. There's also a story on how the sale of tighty whities are an indicator of a recovering economy. Brilliant.
I've had my google homepage set with an RSS feed of The New Zealand Herald in hopes of learning something before I leave, but most of the articles are international news and too many of them are US problems. So thanks WP for keeping up with local news, even if it is Fairfax County.
